Hi DELL-Cares or anyone else who might be able to help,

I'm in the exact same situation as @PieterGX. I've found the 9310 configuration that I would like, however I would also much prefer Ubuntu pre-installed, rather than having my company unnecessarily pay for a Windows Pro license that we have no use for and will immediately remove.

I'm attempting to make the configuration and purchase through the Dell German business web portal, however cannot find anywhere that I can select the Ubuntu OS.

Specifically, I'm interested in this model with the "English USA/International QWERTY keyboard" selected and Ubuntu pre-installed:

Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated!

Beware that the "Developer Edition" is a slightly different hardware configuration, in that it uses a different WiFi chipset. The Developer Edition comes with the Qualcomm AX1650 chip, the "regular" (i.e. W10) edition comes with the Qualcomm AX500 chip. The latter chip has no Linux kernel support yet, so if you were to install your favourite Linux distro on the W10 edition, you might suddenly find that the Internet becomes an elusive dream.

I speak from experience, having just installed (dual-boot) Fedora 33 on my brand new 9310.

The good news is that support for the AX500 is being worked on and expected to land in kernel 5.10 around the end of the year. Here's hoping.

In the meantime, I make do with a USB dongle.

More worryingly, however, is the fact that S3 ("deep sleep") mode seems to have been removed from the BIOS entirely, but that's another topic.
