XPS 9570 extremely sluggish overnight
Hello everyone,
Sincerely hope someone can help me. I've been browsing around in the community but can't find how I can solve this.
My XPS 9570 performed very well until this morning. I shut my laptop off last night, and this morning booting it took a lot longer. Also it responds very "sluggish" to whatever tasks I perform. Both in Windows and when using any software. My performance meters are showing no problems, detecting problem options also come up with no issues.
I do have a dell BIOS update outstanding, that will not install. Currently running on 1.5.0. When I try to update this I get an error "A problem occurred while installing updates" and no option to resolve this.
This is a 2000 euro machine that is 2 months old, and already running into several issues. Makes me wonder why I switched from Apple.
Let's see if customer support is able to help me out here. Meanwhile any recommendations from the community?
Tijn

Thank you for your message. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I will be glad to assist you with this.
Do you remember going through any Windows/driver updates?
Please run a hardware diagnostic by following the video on this link & check if there is an error.
Please start the computer in safe mode by following the instructions here & check if the system is still slow.
Did you download the BIOS directly from Dell Support site or did it try updating through Dell Support Assist application?
For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.
