XPS does not recognize external speakers
Hello everyone,
My xps for some time now does not recognize my jack 3.5mm speakers If I connect them after booting windows 10. If I have already plugged them in before booting up the speakers work fine. However, If I unplug them and plug them back in or plug them in afterwards, my xps does not recognize them.
In the past, whenever I plugged them in, a little window (something like a popup) would appeared and ask me what kind of device did I just plug in (e.g. external speakers, headset, etc.). This window does not show up anymore.
It's quite frustrating because I have to reboot everytime I want to plug my external speakers. Any ideas?

@ConflictGK Open your system's audio manager app (might be Dell Audio or WavesMaxx or something else, depending on your model) and make sure the checkbox to show the popup notification when you connect something is checked. If that doesn't resolve it, try manually reinstalling your system's audio driver, which you can find at support.dell.com.
