Restart the system and when you see the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full system diagnostics paying special attention to the wifi card. If the card passes the diagnostics, click on Control Panel in Windows. If the card does not show or fails then the card is defective. Also go into the BIOS (F2 at the Dell splash screen) and see if the wifi card is detected and enabled.
Look in Device Manager and see if the wifi device is listed Under Network Adapters. If so it may or will show disabled. You can right click on the adapter and click on enable.
What happens when you download the adapter driver? Also which wifi adapter is installed in your system?
