problems with bluethooth and aipods
hi,
i have a xps15 . i recently tried to connect my airpods to my labtop , although they pair and the airpods are connected , the sound is still coming from the labtop speakers itself . I've been struggling to fix this problem for hours but nothing happens .
Airpods are paired AND CONNECTED but the sound comes from th speaker and not the airpods .
what do i do ?
thank you

@shaamiim AirPods don't work well with Windows in general at the moment. Even when they connect (which has been unreliable in my experience, at least when working with Intel Bluetooth cards), the fact that they appear as two different devices makes them a bit problematic to use, especially if you want to switch between using them as headphones and as a headset (i.e. with the mic active for conferencing apps). I wrote about this in detail in posts in this thread. If you want to try to make it work, you can try going to Start > Settings > System > Sound and make sure your "AirPods (Headphones)" device is selected as the output. But again, AirPods just don't work well in Windows at the moment. Hopefully Windows at some point treats Bluetooth headset devices as a unified device like the Jabra adapter I mentioned in that other thread already does today, but Windows itself doesn't do that today.
