XtremIO XMS - Maximum X-Brick Clusters?
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone knows of a limitation on how many X-brick clusters can be connected to from an XMS server?
I understand there's a maximum of 8 X-Bricks in a cluster but I also understand you can connect numerous clusters to the same XMS server, is this the case?
(Also does anyone know if you can fit 8 X-Bricks into a single rack?)
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,
You can only have one XMS associated to one cluster PSNT.
I would suggest to make reference to the EMC Support pages to find manuals such as the hardware installation for XtremIO (these should provide racking considerations for clusters).

Sure, it can be found at https://support.emc.com/products then select the XtremIO product lines.
The document you need is entitled 'XtremIO-2.4-Storage-Array-Hardware-Installation-and-Upgrade-Guide'
