Good morning. I am about to put my NX4 online in a week. I currently use a windows server and we have shadow copies for users to restore files from. Is this a setting I can add on the shares on the NX4? If so, how is this done?

yes, this functionality is called "SnapSure"

it's included in the CIFS license bundle, so make sure it's enabled under License.
Is this functionality something that needs to be purchased seperate? Or is this something I just need to enable and configure? Thanks in advance.

Yes, for NX4 its included at no extra charge
You also need to configure some checkpoint – best through a schedule
