How often should we look at upgrading the centera operating system? And what is the current recommneded level?

Please monitor EMC Technical advisory (ETA) and apply any code upgrades necessary if it affects your environment.Interoperability is another factor which drives code upgrade.Beyond that features on the code release is a driving factor.So to answer to your question it depends upon the 3 factors.As of May 19th the recommended code for Gen2,3 and 4 is 3.1.3 and for new installs with Gen4 it's 4.0 if application supports the SDK.
