Replace Bad Disk in Raid Group 0 on CX500 with Larger Disk

Last weekend we had a drive failure on our old CX500, which is no longer under maintenance.  The drive is in Raid Group 0, which I know is an important RG because the Array Software is running on disks 0-4.  The drive that failed is actually disk 8.  After some quick ebay/google searches, 73 GB FC disk replacement is almost $800 (of course).

The CX500 is going to retired within 6 months so we're reluctant to stick that cash into it.  We have a spare 146 GB 10k FC disk we picked up a while back.  Can I pull the 73 GB drive and insert the 146 GB drive?  I know we will be "wasting" space on that drive by adding a 146 GB drive to a RAID5 RG which is running 73 GB drives, but that is the least of my concerns right now.  There are other 146 GB 10k FC disks in that tray...

Thanks in advance for your advice!
