MD3000i replication

I have 3 MD3000i's and would like to know what my replication options are, given they don't support native replication.

3 ESX 3.5 hosts, 3 MD3000i's, about 9TB of space.

I know the choices are at the guest or host level, and not at the storage level.

I'm wondering what others are doing.

One option that I have heard is you could take a snapshot and then do a virtual disk copy (The snapshot ensures that your source Virtual Disk is not left as read only). Once the Virtual Disk is cloned, you could export that disk group and physically move it to your replication site (maybe swap it with disks that you are using there)

http://en.community.dell.com/forums/t/19273504.aspx lists a similar solution where they actually do an e-backup to their DR location
