BIOS update warning: bios update failed as bios requires password. please remove password.
The above warning and inability to install BIOS update concerns v. 1.11.
However, no password is set in BIOS; my current BIOS version is 1.10.
Is it a bug?

I don't use passwords on my Bios either, but you have confirmed you can get into the Bios without one?
Could the update be seeing something else blocking it, such as some sort of boot Anti-Virus?
@Kflash08 who I consider very knowledgeable posted about this problem a couple fo days ago.

Reply Thank you for your concern.
Of course, I have checked to enter BIOS without a password.
Also, there has been no change since my last no-problem update (my current version is 1.10).
My antivirus is a Total Security Bitdefender which does not mess with BIOS as far as I know.

Same issue here trying to install 1.18.3 on an alienware. How quickly are these types of things typically addressed? Thanks!

Oops. Had the USB flash drive in the USB 2.0 Port. Put it in the 3.0 port and it worked as advertised.
