I would try diagnostics to see if there are any hardware problems with the netbook.

Start the netbook while tapping F12 and choose diagnostics.

If there are no errors running diagnostics then you may need to reimage the system.

If you aren't able to run PC restore using the F8 menu then you will need an OS disk if Windows shipped with your system.  You will also need an external DVD drive to be able to run the reinstall.
