Hi all,

 

very new to this so go easy on me! I’m trying to upgrade the CPU and GPU (amongst others) in my Dell Latitude E5420 to make it run a bit better. I’m currently running

CPU: Intel(R) i3-2310M

GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

im wanting to put in an Intel i9-9900k processor in along with a better GPU. I’ve heard there can be some difficulty with doing this, just want to know if it’s possible, or if there’s anything I should be thinking about when I’m doing this? I’m planning to get a cooling pad as I know the i9 runs quite hot, and my RAM and HDD have already been upgraded.
