BIOS problem Flashing

Dimension E510   Motherboard Connolly E187242 F2
Quite often when power is plugged in, the front light flashes yellow slowly and there is no response from the power button.  If I remove the power going to the unit from a few minutes, I will still get the same results, however if I remove the power and remove the battery for a few minutes and then put the power back on, the lights flashes yellow rapidly, then changes to green, and then it will start when the power button is pressed.  If I turn the unit off for a long period of time and then turn the power back on to restart it, the same problem happens.  It appears to be a BIOS problem.  I have disconnecting all hardware and upgraded the BIOS to A07 which did not help.  Does anyone know if the motherboard has been recalled or if there are any fixes for this problem.
Thanks in advance
Joe

Flashing amber generally indicates a power problem: PSU or possibly something attached to it.

Sounds like a problem with the NVRAM back-up battery. Replace it and see what happens.

Thanks to both that replied.  When I changed the power supply it appears to have resolved the issue.

    Thanks for all the help.
