Computer will not boot up when install PCI card

I have just purchased a new Dell Dimension 2350.

I opened up the system and installed the PCI ADSL card from my old computer (which ran Windows XP). When I reconnected the power supply and tried to turn the computer on, nothing would happen. I removed the PCI ADSL card and the computer would then turn on. I have tried putting the ADSL card in several of the PCI slots and none of them work (I cannot turn the computer on). However, I have a PCI modem that came with the Dell and that is installed and works fine.

I have no problem using the PCI card on the old computer (it boots up into Windows XP properly, works fine with ADSL), but it doesn't seem to work on the new machine.

Could you please help!

Thanks

Elliot
