hi,

 i have an inspiron 530 desktop with vista.  Once and a while i'll come home and go to use it and it won't "wake up".... So i'll hold the power button until it turns off and then try to turn it back on.  When I do this the fan takes off like crazy and nothing else happens, the monitor won't wake up (orange powersave light remains on), and the fan will just continue to run.

 

  I had the same issue a while back and support had me hold a specific key down (can't remember which one) while i started the computer and it turned right on... I've tried guessing with a bunch of different keys but i can't get it...  once i do manage to wake it up i want to find out how to turn this sleep/hibernate feature off so i don't have to deal with this anymore.

 

Can anyone help?
