Quick Keys

I have a dell keyboard that has some quick keys on it.  Specifically  a "mail" key.  When I press it -- I get outlook express email program which I dont use. I have Comcast.  How can i program it to open my comcast mail when it is pressed ?  It used to work when i had earthlink mail.

Thanks

Open comcast and set it as the default email program, then go in and IF outlook is set as default, change it.Now Comcast will be set as default and should work?

You didn't say what version of Windows you have. If it's XP, you may be able to reset those keys using Tweak UI, free from Microsoft.   Look for a link to download it here.

Once it's installed, Click Explorer in the list at the left to expand the list. Then click Command Keys and see if you can set them the way you want in the pane on the right.

Warning: Tweak UI does NOT work with Vista, and there is no free equivalent for Vista from Microsoft. So don't even try it!

Hello All, As RoHe suggest, there is no official TweakUI for Vista.

HERE  is a link to an unofficial TweakUI that works quite well in Vista x86 and x64.

Do not click on the free download at the top of the screen but the black download at the right of the screen.

I have used it and it works almost the same as the XP TweakUI.

    Hope this helps.

You can find it thru, Start>all Progrmas>You should see comcast listed(just like opening any other email app.).Once opened, you should have a "Settings" tab,or a "Mail Accounts" tab.Whichever you have(i am not familiar with comcast) select the comcast email account and set it as "Default".
