Hey everyone:
I have a problem but I'm not sure if it is related to hardware or software. When my computer boots up, it goes to the Windows Me splash screen. From there it sounds like it is booting, but then it just stops, makes no sounds, and hangs on the splash screen for about 2 minutes before resuming the boot up.

What is causing this? Is it the OS? It hasn't always done this and the computer is only 1yr old. Do I need to add more memory? Change OS? Please help me b/c I have boasted so much about my computer being so fast and my roommate's Precision 420 boots up faster


It's embarassing to tell people I much I've spent on this computer b/c it isn't living up to its expectations
