Hi everyone!

 

Yesterday I went and bought a dv cam (panasonic NV-gs17) and filmed some things just to try it out, since my inspiron 5150 has a 4 pin firewire connection I bought a firewire cable and plugged it in... but nothing happened...

 

This morning I was talking to dell support here in Sweden but they only told me to update some files from dell, guess what, it still doesn't work...

 

I have been reading this forum and a lot of other forums on the internet but I havn't found anything that could help me, I have one small question though... is the firewire supposed to be an network connection, I can see it with my local area connection and in the hardware manager it's listed as a network card...

 

Any ideas?
