MiniPCI does not work

I have a Dell Inspiron1150 with a  WIRELESS, MINI PCI CARD, 1350, BROADCOM CORPORATION

My power jack on my motherboard failed (no power from AC adapter), I replaced that, and fixed teh problem, but now my MiniPCI card for wireless doesn't work. I've tied reseating it a few times and installing the drivers from the dell site, which install fine.

Problem is that it isn't showing up in my network adapters in hardware, and I'm also getting an error message on reboot that I think may be associated with it:

PXE-E61 Media Test Failure, check cable
PXE MOF Exit Broadcom PXE ROM

I'm hoping I didn't damage it, I was fairly carefull, and everything else is working fine. I'm still able to get on the internet with a ethernet cable.

Could the new board not be compatiable with this older card? Am I missing anything else.
