AD granular backup failed

Hello,

We have from some days a new error in our backup policy: AD Granular Backup with NMM

Here are the log:

nsradsave Could not backup following objects:

nsradsave LDAP://localhost/OU=xxxx\0ACNF:89fed415-c712-4253-ae6c-02c45b01a901,OU=xxxx,OU=xxxx,OU=xxx,DC=xxx,DC=xxx,

Error:There is no such object on the server.

The backup command for this particular client is nsradsave. The saveset is DC=xxx,DC=xxx.

We are using NMM 2.3 and Networker 7.6.2.7 build 697 AD and Networker are both on Windows 2008 R2 SP1

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Greg

    Hi Greg,

Based on the build of NMM 2.3 you are using this is not related to NW117831, as per https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg115555 If I remember well this was fixed in late builds of NMM 2.2 SP1 hence included in NMM 2.3

Does the backup  finish correctly despite of that error?

Take a look at the following article:

    https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg105827

Otherwise please render nsradsave.raw and paste here the output (if too many objects in AD output will be huge, so please skip some lines about other objects).

To render it open command prompt and run the following command from the specified path:

    C:\Program Files\legato\nsr\applogs>nsr_render_log nsradsave.raw > nsradsave.log

    Thank you.

    Carlos.

    Hello Carlos,

Thanks for your answer. It seem that it was a corrupted object in our AD. The AD administrator has this object deleted an backup work fine again.

    Thanks.

    Greg
