I've been reading around, but so far I'm unable to figure out if the following is possible or not:

Can the T40 be upgraded with an Nvidia RTX A2000 GPU for machine learning? (not for display)

 

It looks to me as if it should be possible, but maybe I'm missing something. My logics are as follows:

 

1) The GPU needs 70w of power and the PCIe can deliver 75w, so that should be ok?

2) The GPU is 16.8 cm and the T40 supports half-length so that should be ok as well?

3) The GPU is a dual slot, but the T40 has several slots and I only need room for this one card, so that should also be ok?

 

Am I missing anything? Thank you in advance.
