Adding PERC4-DC to existing Poweredge 2850 Embedded SCSI

I was hoping for a little assistance with the best way to move existing drives to new PERC4-DC. I have 2-73 GB drives on the embedded SCSI controller of a Poweredge 2850. These are mirrored using Windows 2003 Disk Manager. I am adding 4-300 GB drives and a PERC4-DC. I have poked around with this a bit, but fear losing data on my existing drives. When I plugged the existing drives into the new controller, the server did not want to boot. I thought I did everything necessary like disabling the embedded and making disk 0 the bootable disk, but it did not want to boot. I obviously stopped short of initializing the existing disks as I believe this will remove my data. Is there any documentation available that will assist with this upgrade and preserve my data. I have no problem breaking the mirror from Windows and going from there. Ultimate goal is 2-73 GB drives Raid 1 and 4-300 GB drives Raid 5.

Thanks in advance,
