We were unable to create a mirror/raid1 of two identical volumes attached to a perc2 controller. The only available option available was to concantenate or raid0. Eventually we found a place in the help file that stated it was possible to change/migrate from any configuration to another so we decided (I think might have been irreversible) to create raid0 across the two drives which of course created a stripe set.

Now we are unable to revert the configuration (we thought we should have at least been able to do that) or make the move to raid1/mirror that we really wanted.

We originally had 2 ea 8.7 GB HDs one of which was functional and bootable, the other which used to be part of raid1 configuration but somehow got lost. We could find no option to mirror the drives or add the second unused drive to be the mirror of the first. After creating the raid0, there is 2.24 GB of data on each drive and we have doubled our chance for failure!
