R740xd BOSS "Completing a failed IOCTL request"

Hi. We have two R740xd servers with BOSS card. We use the BOSS card as storage for Windows Server OS installation.

There's no apparent problem with it, however in the eventlog, there's an error message logged every couple seconds (the eventlog is spammed by this event and it's only logged for the DELLBOSS VD):

eventlog: Microsoft-Windows-Storage-ClassPnP/Operational, event ID: 504, source: StorDiag: message: "Completing a failed IOCTL request." Details:

DeviceGUID {277f085e-6b01-55b5-70c9-69fda7212ca0}
DeviceNumber 0
Vendor NULL
Model DELLBOSS VD
FirmwareVersion MV.R00-0
SerialNumber 6ceee43e08dc0010
IrpStatus 0xc0000472
IoctlControlCode 0x2d9404

Both servers have different firmware/driver versions (one of them has the latest available):

BOSS-S1: driver 1.2.0.1048, firmware 2.5.13.3022 A06

What does this error message mean? Is it an indication of a problem or one of those 'harmless' events I should ignore?
