wtoolsa.exe not going away safe mode not working
Booting in safe mode in Windows XP keeps putting me back in regular mode and I can't get rid of WToolsA.exe in the processes. It pops back up again, so it won't delete.
I am probably having problems because safe mode isn't working. I boot into Safe Mode by rebooting and pressing F8. I select Safe Mode and then boot up into the prompted OS Windows XP professional. Then it gives me the logins as myself or Administrator. But when I click on either choice, it goes right into regular mode. There is no safe screen. My screen has the very fine resolution, all the processes load as normal. If I reboot the same thing happens.
Are these WToolsA.exe and WToolsS.exe really bad? I started noticing them because I had a constant hourglass. Now it happens some days and not others. I have installed AdAware 6.0 and followed their directions and I have my Hijackthis log as well.
It seems to be catch as catch can getting the right information.
Thanks for the help,
Heidi
