Hello everyone,

I've got some problems / questions / things that I don't understand.

We're using vmware esxi 5.5 in our company. One of our LUN is a thin type. It just started triggering alarm about % Full Threshold (82% atm). I moved some of vm's to another LUN (thick one) via vmotion storage. Unfortunately warning is still appearing. So I've started investigation.

1. Lun capacity is 5120 GB in vcenter & array

2. In vcenter at the moment lun free space is 2990,08 GB

3. From array Consumed Capacity shows 2987,323 GB.

Quick calculation gives ~857 GB disparity (5120 - 2990 = 2130, 2987-2130 = 857). This amount looks huge! From where it's come from?

BTW: I've just moved again random vm from this lun to another one and consumed capacity doesn't change at all.

Could anyone explain me what is going on? Please ?
