Blue Screen 0x00000024 Cannot boot in safe mode either

Please can anybody help ! When I try to boot I get the deadly blue screen and STOP 0x00000024 (0x00190203,0x86610150,0xc000102,0x00000000) - i cannot run windows in safe mode or any other way. I have run diagnostics checks and they are ok ( Dell Dimension 8400) Is there anything I can do that is relatively simple or will I have to reinstall windows. Many Thanks

    Joby3316,

You can review Stop: 0x00000024 bugcheck procedures here:  http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm

I would recommend that you insert your Windows XP CD.  Restart computer.  Press F12 while the Dell logo is still on the screen.  Select the CD/DVD ROM as your boot device.  If prompted to "Press any key to boot from CD" then do so.

At the Windows Setup screen, press R to enter the Recovery Console.  Select the Windows installation (usually number 1) and enter the password (usually blank).  At the command prompt, type chkdsk /r to check and repair the NTFS file system.  When chkdsk is done, remove the Window XP and type Exit to restart your computer.  It should boot just fine.
