This machine is months old....and  560+MB Win Update is impractical....and irresponsible. That's like downloading the whole OS...or most of it.

After using Dell for many many yrs, and registering and asking for assistance, this fireberd dude is telling me to goto Mac.

Does the Dell shareholders know this is "Official" policy? (You don't have to answer that one....I have some old time ShareHolder Friends to ask.)

My connection speed is 28K..which means it would take more than 40 hrs to update.

Can you mail a disc?....it would cost me alot less time($$)

Could you maybe suggest something different besides going to  Mac?

Please understand, I have sent MANY MANY people to Dell over the yrs(more than 40)...and I AM CROSS-PLATFORM EXPERIENCED....SO WHILE A TRANSISTION OVER TO MAC WILL HAVE SOME ISSUES AT FIRST...IN THE LONG RUN IT APPEARS IT WILL SAVE ME MUCH TIME, HEADACHES, ETC.

I will keep an OLD FRUMPY PC or two still runing....but they will not be NEW....and I see no reason at this time to ever purchase Dell again.

and I WILL NEVER SUGGEST DELL AGAIN.....UNLESS OF COURSE YOU HAVE A BETTER ANSWER THAN, "See Ya...goto Mac" ....etc
