Digital License

Hello guys,

we deploy windows 10 with ivanti. when I use the install.wim from dell iso build 1803 or 1809 at the first restart sysprep is starting. on 1709 sysprep don´t comes up. When I use the install.wim from microsoft iso I have the problem, that windows is not activating with the digital license. We have Latitudes, Optiplex and Precisions. So my questions are....

What can I do, that sysprep is not starting automatically?
or when use microsoft install.wim

What is the different in the dell install.wim that the activation not working in microsoft install.wim.

thanks
Frank

End users are not allowed to activate SLP Bios licenses.   All windows 8 and 10 machines with key in bios are not activated until after going online.

Internal license server activation is something different entirely.

There is support for sysprep and sccm but its not free.

The Dell Forum is not Ivanti support

    https://www.ivanti.com/solutions/unified-endpoint-management/imaging-and-os-deployment

This is why windows has the "I don't have a key" option as well as generic Key for Home or Pro that activates AFTER going online.

These keys can only install Windows.

It's not possible to activate it unless you have a bios Key OR purchase one for non UEFI class 2.3.1 machines.

WMI query does not show the Key in bios.

License Server KMS  VLK or MAK Keys are not BIOS SLP keys.

Microsoft’s command line licensing tool is slmgr.vbs. The name actually stands for Windows Software Licensing Management Tool.

    $key=(Get-WmiObject -Class SoftwareLicensingService).OA3xOriginalProductkey
    slmgr /ipk $key
    exit

das in die verteilung eingebunden und es funktioniert

vielen dank an euch und gruß
