I NEED HELP PLEASE

I have been on the phone with AOL, DELL, and MicroSoft for 2 days trying to resolve an issue and with NO HELP.  When my anti virus program is running and/or I do a "computer check-up", if any issues are found, my "fix-all" button is not highlighted so I cannot fix problem.  AOL said I have to run a "system restore" to clean, but for some reason, it doesn't happen.  Both DELL and Microsoft want to charge me to fix.
I understand there is "self help" on the InterNet but can't locate what I need.  Can anyone help??

Windows has no such button so you need to figure out which program it is so you can find an answer. Sounds like your antivirus to me, so try the support site for that. You didn't say which one you had. Don't bother with Dell or Microsoft, since this is not their software.

I was able to find someone else in the forum who had the same problem. He received advice and I followed the same. I WAS able to then do a "system restore" but whether or not it solves my problem remains to be seen....I have to run a "full scan" and if issues arise, see if I can now fix them.
