    rotaru,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

What system are you needing to restore? Some systems use F8 instead of CTL + F11.

    rotaru,

Thank you for contacting the Dell Community Forums.  I have a couple of questions for you:

    • What kind of system do you have?
    • Do other keys on the keyboard work?
    • How often are you pressing CTRL-F11?  If you press those keys too rapidly, or hold them down too long, the keyboard can interpret that as a stuck key and trigger a keyboard failure error.

    rotaru,

It sounds like the keyboard controller may be treating your CTRL-F11 keystroke as a stuck key, triggering an error and causing the system to stop responding to the keyboard.  Try pressing and releasing CTRL-F11 a couple of times instead of holding them down, and see if the results change.
