The BIOS update tool for the Studio 1555 does not work. It crashes on Windows XP 32 bits and Windows 7 32 bits and Windows 7 64 bits. I tried both the A07 and the A08 version.
The system had 4Gb (2x 2Gb) of memory. I removed one of the banks and the update went smoothly. At first I thought that the problem might be the memory, but I ran several memory testers and none could find problems. Probably a 32 bit integer overflow.
