Hard drive swap - two identical XPS 9360 computers

I have two identical XPS 9360s (i7 -7500U). The one I use the most on the road has a touchpad that Dell techs broke under warranty (and now refuse to fix as the last repair [when they broke it] was right before the warranty expired - but that is a longer story). The other is primarily used with a docking station.

The one I use regularly (with the broken touchpad) has a few programs on it (Office 2019/some Adobe programs) that would be a pain to move.

If I swap hard drives (both identical 256 SSD), will I run into any issues with the software saying "hey, you switched hardware" or will it be seamless?

And please don't tell me to contact Dell about the touchpad. I've spoken to multiple here (the bot here just says "you're out of warranty, call our warranty extension number" and that number in India says "you're out of warranty, so sorry we broke it and lost some screws as well, but you're out of warranty - go away"

I'm just going to tackle this by telling everyone I know (and my organization just bought 500 new computers - not Dell after my discussion) about the lousy "warranty" service and their inability to fix something they broke will end up costing Dell far more.

But back to the question - can I just swap drives? That way I can leave the one with the broken touchpad on the docking station with a separate keyboard.
