Hello, I'm having a peculiar issue with my xps 13.
I got it back around the time of black Friday of 2019, and there weren't any issues during that time.
However, I've had 3 crashes in the past 10 days:
Crash 1: I attempted to update the Bluetooth driver a week ago, which ended in a BSOD, followed by the LED light flashing the pattern: 2 amber, 1 white.
Crash 2: Just yesterday, using a basic text editor with the computer on standby, which crashed out of the blue giving me a BSOD, giving me once again the pattern 2 amber, 1 white.
Crash 3: In an attempt to remedy the issue, I ran chkdsk /f, and upon restart of the computer, the chkdsk process was stuck again, the LED giving the pattern 2 amber, 1 white.
I ran chkdsk a second time, and the second time was fine.
In addition, I have also ran scannow with no issues.
Lastly, I've ran the pre-boot diagnostic, and the first time it gave me a critical error, but it didn't mention any error codes. The second time I ran the pre-boot diagnostic it gave me no issues.
Is this for sure indicative of a CPU failure? If so, what could have caused it and what are my options? I've never dropped / spilled anything on my laptop (it mainly just sits on a glass table hooked up to an external display).
Or are there other software related checks I can do? I've made sure my windows installation is up to date, and that my system is up-to-date according to Dell Update.
Thank you
EDIT: I did talk to dell support, and it seems that the critical error in the pre-boot diagnostic is due to me not having the charger plugged in (it gives you a prompt to plug your charger in, and even if you do it will say critical error).
I did mention the details above to them, and they believe that it is a software issue, any suggestions on what I should do? (I.e. send to replace board or live with it and see if it happens again?). I did just install some updates for the wifi driver and for windows after the 3 crashes above, and it appears to be working fine right now.
