Aurora ACT1250, refuses to start now

Next to brand new, and now it won't start.

  1. Shutdown the desktop (DT) last night. I let the monitor go to sleep.
  2. Powered up this morning. All was well.
  3. Did a transfer of email files.
  4. Went for lunch.
  5. Back from linch I see the Combine and Overseers popped up a note that updates were installed and I had to restart. Like it or not.
  6. I clicked OK, wait a minute - nothing happened.
  7. I did a manual Restart.
  8. The comp shut down, and restarted within a second or 2. Waited. Screen was still black at restart mode. Waited.

  9. Monitor finally reacted with a popup staing that the device was in Stand By mode.
  10. Held power switch in on DT. Waited 1 minute. holding it. \
  11. Nothing else left as option except pull plug - pulled the power plug out - waited. Did a Power Off, pull cord out, press start to drain what might be left. waited. Plugged Power cord back in. Waited. DT booted, but not sending anything to monitor.
  12. DT is being a

Ideas?

I bought the Dell Alienware Aurora 1250 from Dell and 49" OLED screen from somewhere else (Dell didn't have a compatible monitor).  $5k and it's worse than my old DT.

My rig is:

Dell Alienware Aurora 1250 upgraded to intel i9 Ultra and upgraded to a NVIDIA Geoforce RTX 5080 and 2Tb SSD

Old DT is  A Dell Inspiron  w/ Win 7 but often times will just hang requiring switching PSU off - wait, drain, on again reboot. Works.

Why do I feel like a beta tester.

Don't know what Combine and Overseers are, but can you enter the BIOS during POST?

@Vanadiel A old-time gamer would know who Combine and Overseer are.

You can skip the details and just read the red text below.

I can't see any POST. I had to pull the Power plug I couldn't Shutdown, cause I can't see it to click it. BTW, this is a desktop. However, I think I managed a excuse for the ACT1250; Microsoft.

I was trying to figure out how to buy a better desktop and start the move all over again when suddenly the monitor came on with the desktop showing. A window was open but popup messages only count down from 3, 2 ,1 off.

So, I went through all the logs and the short of it is, Microsoft took over, put the monitor on standby and updated the fixes for patches or what ever they do with my their desktop at their control bots leisure...

Problem I think it is, is that putting the monitor on standby, or the ability to see the monitor, is one thing, but when done, the update program doesn't wake. or return control the user, AND, fails to return the desktop to the user - i.e. their update demon hangs resulting in pulling PSU cable out.

Thanks @Vanadiel - I will check out BIOS settings just to see what's up.
