If an OEM part failed under warranty, provided it is entirely unrelated to your upgrade, you'd still be covered but you'd have to put everything back to stock OEM configuration before they service it.

Unless you are going to run really low end gpu's you will need at least a 750w more is better.
It should not void the warranty but I'm not an expert on Alienware.
