Aurora R11, adding a new SSD as 3rd drive

I want to add a new SSD to my R11. Currently have a 512GB SSD (main) with a 2TB HDD. Never thought I would need more than 512 SSD for games, but hey, here we are.

Not that familiar with this hardware. Seen a few youtubes so it seems pretty straight forward.

What I would like to know is if I add a new SSD to this rig (to have 3 main drives), I understand there is a free space to do this in the base, what do I need to be able to add it (cable wise) the drive and can I confirm that the new drive will need to be a 2.5 size?

Your pc has spare power cables for the new drive bundled up unused in the metal box behind the swing arm psu.  You need a screwdriver to open the metal box.

You have room for 2x additional sata ssds. The R11 has 2 caddies included.  So you just need to buy the ssd and a sata data cable for it.

Why? What if you do have the liquid-cooled GPU?

I thought so.

So I bought a R11 with a single 1 TB SSD and the liquid-cooled 2080 Nvidia.

So my question is, do I still have two 2.5inch slots for SSD drives, and one 3.5inch slot for an SSD drive?

Secondary question is -- do I only need to buy a SATA3 90 degree connector then, other than the drive itself that I am ADDING? Because the extra power comes with the machine?

I could not get alot of info from the photograph, but thanks for it.

Why would the video card have to be removed?

I was under the impression that if it is a SATA 2.5 inch SSD, it would just slide into one of the two open "bays", and then I just plug in the power and SATA cable.

Am I missing something?

Realistically, unless your hands are really small, you will need to remove the GPU to plug the SATA data cable into the motherboard, which is directly under the GPU.  It only takes about 5 seconds to remove the GPU though don't sweat it.
