Aurora R11, AWCC stopped working again

The new Alienware Command Center Application is Version 5.5.51.0, A00 Release date 29 Aug 2023. The Driver download page states: If you face download or installation issues, download the Alienware Command Center Application - Full Installer to download the Alienware Command Center Application

BUT, the only full installer is dated 04 Nov 2022. Can anyone point me to the new full version?

I have tried to block communication between Dell and My R11, but launching AWCC just re-enables the link to Dell.

I have removed all other software Dell had on the Aurora R11 as it all kept breaking and had to be removed and reinstalled approx. ever 4 -5 weeks, So I finally just removed it all. I had to keep AWCC as there is no other way to have the cooling fans function. I just want the Aurora R11 to function with out having to spend over 2 hours installing just one update.

My last PC ran for 10 years before it had a a motherboard failure I could not fix. So I got this Aurora R11. Which is now 3 years old and I have had more issues with the DELL software that I would have thought possible.

@ProfessorW00d The new Alienware Command Center Application-Version 5.5.51.0, A00 Release date 29 Aug 2023 is the guilty party.

Deleting and using the working version is useless since it automatically updates on its own to the broken version.

I've been through this a couple of years ago, same exact symptoms after an update, then a few months later another update is released, and all is right in the universe again.

Odd thing is I had a Alienware laptop for 12 years and never had one problem with the AWCC.

I've had this happen to me before...AWCC would load but claim that it couldn't find any peripherals. What I've done when this happens is to:

1. Completely uninstall AWCC using REVO Uninstaller. Restart the computer after the uninstall.

2. Reinstall the latest AWCC version using the full installer.

3. Shut the computer down, unplug computer and all peripherals.

3. Discharge the flea power. (With power disconnected hold down the power button on the CPU for thirty seconds).

4. Reconnect peripherals, restart computer.

Sometimes that doesn't completely fix the issue, and I found that what did work was actually leaving the power off for a few days. That may or may not be practical in your case, but it's worked for me. My unproven suspicions are that somehow, the peripherals are being left in some uninitialized state and are not being recognized by the AWCC drivers. I can't really prove my theory, but it's worked for me three times now for different AWCC updates. And this was after tech support suggested that all I could was to do a clean reinstall of W11 and start over. I wasn't buying, and so far, I've gotten AWCC to work again with my method. It's nuts, but it works for me. I really wish Dell would do better with AWCC. As it is it's balky, finicky, and can and has crashed on me without warning more than once.

@AnClar I'll try your suggestion of leaving the power off for a few days when I can, sometime in the distant future.  My problem is not with peripherals per se, but the R9 cabinet lights are not recognized, and I am not taking the cabinet apart to unplug all the LEDs.  Past experience has shown this to be a AWCC programing problem and eventually they correct it.  If I could change the default color from blue to red, the AWCC not working would be of no concern to me at all.

Thanks!

I have the same issue. Spend days trying to fix it. I can remove the new version and install a older version and the FX comes back. However, command center updates automatically and back to the same problem. Dell is know for causing all sorts of issues just like this for it's customers. So tired of this. I have to many dell and Alien ware machines to start over. Nothing like Beta testing on your production machines. I guess it's a way for Dell to make you update a 3 year old machine. Stupid stuff..  Update, After more extensive research, I downloaded command center version 5.5.23. Completely uninstalled the current version 5.5.51. Blocked AWCC in windows firewall. Now all is working good.

Here's the solution. Look for either Alienware or Dell Client Management Service.

@Geohandel Does not work. Blocking at the firewall level is the only thing that works on my machine.
