The white light should be the HDD access light. For some reason Alienware put's these at the back of the case.

Try pressing the enter key on your keyboard, see if your PC went to sleep mode. If it did, it should wake back up.

Minimize all programs on your screen, because there's a "bug" with the BIOS flasher if you use the DELL support app, where the confirmation window hides behind the support app, waiting for you to press to confirm the flash update. It is likely sitting there, and your PC went to sleep mode due to inactivity.

Yikes ! Been there man and it’s scary as heck. You pretty much gotta be a computer tech to get bios updates on these Auroras because I always have a hard time updating bios with these machines through The dell support site. They say don’t do bios update through windows update but hey I did and got to bios 1.0.7 with no problems but it was scary. Actually that was the only way I could get to bios 1.0.5 too. I’m not tech savvy but learning.
