Aurora R11, issues turning on?

Question

Hello, I am having trouble with my desktop when it turns on. I just got it not more than a month ago and for some reason when I press the power button it will turn on and start to load the Alienware screen, then it will turn off lights go off and fans stop. After a few seconds it will then turn back on on its own and will work fine until the next time it needs powered on.

I I tried to figure out how much power it uses and from what I figured it should have enough power, I also ran a few troubleshooters thinking it might tell me if there was an issue with the power supply or something else but, it just said it was fine. I tried the troubleshooters on the computer as well as on Dells support page and both gave the same results.

It happened when I first turned the system on but I assumed it was a fluke as it stopped happening but in the last couple weeks it has been happening every time. I do not use it very often so I don't know if it could have anything to with that, just a bad power supply, or another issue I may be overlooking?

My own first Aurora R11 shipment started having problems about a week in. But on boot it did report errors with the power button cable (among other things). When running the F12 diagnostics on boot, it sometimes showed others errors with the front panel assembly as well.

Long story short, I ended up with an exchange order, as I was still within my first 30 days. If you're not yet a month in, you probably should get in contact with support, and if not a quick fix, request a return or exchange within your first 30 days (which they say they count from your invoice date, not your delivery date).

Just read your post my r11 as done exactly the same thing it’s happened a few times now since I purchased mine in November 2020.
