Aurora R11, PSU upgrade
Hello!
I`d like to upgrade my Aurora R11 and first of all I need more powerful PSU (Power supply unit), now I have only 550 W.
can you help me to find compatible PSU 800 - 1000 W ? I can't figure out which one will fit Aurora`s R11 case in size
Which models from which manufacturers are suitable?
I would appreciate your help.

There is more information in Dell thread UPGRADE to 1000watt PSU.
Aurora 1000w Gold PSU (Part# DP/N 0WTGN / 00WTGN made by Delta)
Owners of the non-modular (fixed cables) 460watt / 550watt can do this upgrade but you need to buy the PSU chassis WITH the cables, with the full cable set.
Optical drive uses special cable
https://www.amazon.com/CRJ-15-Pin-Slimline-Sleeved-Adapter/dp/B07FK5G2TF
You cant transfer cables from the 460w/550w because they aren't removable.

@DELL-Chris M might have more information.
Regardless of case cables & wire colors, the 850 1000 & 1500watt PSUs are all electrically the same & so can work across all A51 R2-R7 + Aurora R5-R11

Actually, now that we are on the topic of PSU's and power cables...
I noticed the other day while I was observing the inner workings of my R10, that my PSU does have a bunch of spare connectors with no cables plugged into them. It's the 1000 Watt PSU. Where's the cables for them, are they bundled inside the case?
I did not find them in the shipping box, or anywhere else...

The link to get needed cables is no longer valid. Anyone have a newer one? I just purchased a 1000w PSU to replace my 550w in my R11 and am right in this very situation. All the old cables are permattached to the 550w unit. :(

I am also interested in doing this with my R11. I have the 550w power supply and need to upgrade. Can you provide link to power supply and cables? Thank you.

@Razzoris The R11 PSU is standard ATX format . . . you do not have to purchase the PSU from Dell, as many 3rd party power supplies will work. Consider a PSU that is fully modular and no longer than 150mm.
for example; LINK Seasonic Focus GX

@ProfessorW00d unfortunately my hubby already purchased the 1000 watts from dell without any cables even though sales rep told him it would come with cables. Now I have no idea where or what cables to buy

@Razzoris Cables are separate items. Yes, I know why sell a PSU without cables but that is what they do...

@Razzoris drop a photo of the 1000 watt PSU ports. If your original PSU was fully modular, those cables may work.
EDIT: never mind . . I just saw your "550 watts", which were not fully modular.
