Aurora R11, upgrades, PSU, GPU?
Hello
I m buying an Aurora R11 et i’m ready to order but i have some questions about future potential upgrades :
I choose a R11 with i5-10600kf CPU and RTX 3070.
question 1 : is it enough if i choose the option 550w supply unit? If it’s OK, could i replace it in the future by a 1000W one?
question 2 : il the future if i want to upgrade the gpu to pick a RTX 3080, does Dell sell this custom model of RTX 3080 alone?? I mean that this model made for Aurora ( less big than standard models and made especially for Dell’s Aurora) is not available in others Retail Shop).

If you read back through the post on this board, you will see these Aurora units can be upgraded, but often at the cost of much crying and wailing on your part. Buying a full size tower case and starting from scratch is a much more logical idea if you plan on upgrading, then buying less than what you want in a R11 and then trying to squeeze something into that little case at a later date.
This is illustrated in my adventures in power supplies post--

My understanding is no, not at the moment...they are in too short of supply...but this may change tomorrow...or next year.
