Aurora R12, Oculus VR problems

11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700F 2.50GHz
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X

I have tried both an Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest 2 on this Aurora R12.

First, the Oculus Rift S- (Rift S has a DisplayPort plug and USB Type-A plug)

Primary question, which USB port should I plug the quest link cable into, and for the Rift S which should I plug the Rift S into?

Secondary- does anyone know why neither headset is working on this super powered pc?

I have tried several USB Type-A ports on my Aurora R12, and both DisplayPort, and while the headset powers on, and the Oculus software on the Aurora R12 says it is connected, I get nothing but an "unpowered" black in the headset. Ultimately, I was frustrated enough that I decided to get the Quest 2 and sell the Rift S (I haven't done so yet so I still have it.) Cue new problem.

Quest 2

I was frustrated to discover that the quest compatible games (like beatsaber)I had for my Rift S didn't transfer to my Quest 2 library! So I bought the officially recommended Anker powerline cord to use Oculus link. The Anker powerline has a USB Type-A plug that goes into the pc. I followed the instructions given on the official Oculus site for connecting the quest 2 via link. When I connect the Aurora R12 to the Quest 2, I get the popup dialog asking if I want to allow data transfers. The Oculus site instructions say to deny. So I deny. And then within the headset I see the normal Quest 2 menu. It doesn't seem to be linked to my Aurora R12 at all, I can't access any of my Aurora R12 games.

I'm really stumped, and I have been through 4 different "fixes" with Oculus for the Quest 2 (they had me change power settings on my Aurora R12 USB, repair the Oculus software, etc) and neither headset is working. I feel too frustrated to think clearly and calmly, and also pretty confused. I don't feel like I have the knowledge to solve this.

Either # 4 or # 5 is were you want to use for VR.

I hook my G2 to my R11 at the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C

maybe you need a usb type A to usb type C adaptor or a usb type C hub. That’s the only suggestion I would know. Most VR uses type C especially 3.2 Gen2
