Aurora R12, USB ports stopped working

Hi everyone, hopefully someone can shed some light on this..

i have an aurora r12... it's been working fine. a couple of days ago i decided to swap the RAM, i work in IT and been building, troubleshooting and fixing PC for years now, anywho... swap ram.. switch PC ON and all good except... now all of a sudden no usb ports work the only one which seems to work is the bottom of the front panel which makes it even more weird that none of the other dunno 10 ports don't work at all.

i've checked everything, cables to the mobo are fine (i've unplugged and replugged them all), i've run the diagnostics in the BIOS with a wireless mouse/kb combo and the dongle in the only working usb port... the diagnostsics says the usb's are fine. i've reset the bios (not with the jumpers just the bios to defaults) i've updated manually to the latest bios fw with no luck.

was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue..??

thanks

How about when you use the OEM memory? Are they still disabled?

Unfortuantely yes. makes no difference, as you'd expect tbh. but yeah i did try that.

What operating system? What specific OEM RAM sticks did you remove? What specific RAM sticks did you try to add? Did the added RAM show up correctly in the BIOS Setup screens?

i removed the 64gb kingston hyperx ram and swapped for 32 corsair vengance i believe, the ram appears fine everywhere. i think it's just been a coincidence that they've stopped working after swapping the ram.

obviously the pc was powered down and unplugged when doing the swap. it's jsut very strange and even more so that 1 front usb port works.

Try the coin cell battery removal to reset the BIOS. Be aware all BIOS settings will be set to default, so make note of them before you perform the reset.

it's very strange.

question... what does the little buttong on the pwer supply in this case do? does it reset the psu? or change some power setting?

To add to this.. i've just tested the front and rear USB-C ports and those work! this makes absolutely no sense as they are all getting power form the same place as the non-working ports
