Aurora R13, AWCC woes

Hello all.

I decided recently to upgrade to a new machine. My signature is now wrong (how do you edit it these days?!), but my new machine is a very highly specced Aurora R13.

I've had it a month or so and already AWCC is broken. I certainly, naively hoped for (but don't know why I expected) better. It's absolute rubbish and always has been absolute rubbish.

Overclock and Thermal stuck on spinny dot wait animations (see picture).

What now @Alienware?

Try uninstalling AWCC and reinstall . . . making sure you have the latest version.

My Settings/Personal/Personal Information/Signature

You might have considered just upgrading the graphics card in you Area 51 R5 . . . perhaps some other tweaks.

Thanks for the pic.

For whatever reason, the signature option is missing from the same screen for me. 'Title' follows straight on from 'Last name'.

I can't see any signature option in prefs anywhere, sadly.

Last time I was here with a new machine and a half-broken AWCC I did uninstall and re-install. It made it worse. I'm not sure I dare try it...

Thanks to whoever changed my sig.

Can you remove the Area 51 as someone else owns it now. Also if you could add the 4Tb HDD to the Aurora spec, that'd be great.

Whilst I'm on the subject - I've tried removing the Area 51 from my Dell 'My Products' page, it says removed but when I refresh it's back again. Can this be fixed?

Uninstalling AWCC is the best choice. Go MSI afterburner for gpu oc. Alienware program is a hog and I get better performance without

I've had assistance in the background, but it didn't resolve anything and left my AWCC and Windows in a worse state than at the start of this thread. I appreciate the help, but it's clear once this program starts to break there's no bringing it back.

Thank heavens for Macrium Reflect is all I can say. I've put my machine back to my most recent image saved three or four weeks ago.

I shouldn't have to, but it's clear I'm going to have to run image backups on a regular basis to be able to 'fix' this issue as and when it happens. The continually awful AWCC experience on more than one machine means I've *zero* confidence in it not breaking again.

I forgot about AWCC. As soon as I got my system I reloaded it with Windows 10 and never put AWCC back on it so don't miss it. my after getting all the drivers install my system been running top notch and stable. One day I may Load Windows 11 back on it but for now I really love the system with windows 10.
