Try doing a CMOS reset. This option is apparently greyed out for other users also, even with the original OEM memory.

Thanks I'll give it a spin. Its really crazy itsva Z690 Chipset and the XMP a basic feature 8s not enabled.

Great spent $4k on a computer that can't even run the memory at the right speed.  Well time to buy a case motherboard and PSU and rebuild into that.

You know what's even more frustrating is when you look at cpu-z. it shows 4800mhz is a jedec profile. Also why didn't we get an option to order a 2 dim motherboard vs a 4 dimm? From the little research I've done apparently that's important? Has anybody here messed with manual overclocking on the r13 ddr5? We must have the only z690 motherboard on the planet that doesn't have XMP 3.0 but does all the other basics... future-proof lol. What's the point in having a $4,000 computer if you don't get all of the latest tech. I have an R-10 5900x rx6800xt and in r23 it scores 22k and the only reason why I got this computer is because I researched it and thought they fixed all the issues. Dell I'm going to be super disappointed if you don't support xmp and I have to buy a power supply and motherboard. My brother really wants my r10 but I may have to sell it to get a dang mobo and psu.

I've complained about DDR5 not support XMP3 to their support their response was it was designed like that ... i really doubt it, probably just laziness not to have deal with supporting RAM xmp3 when they dont have experience doing so ... i'd suggest more of us complain to their support/call them out on social networks to get them to budge. 

If they say by design, than it likely is a hardware related limitation. The higher the memory speeds, the better isolation on the traces are needed to avoid cross talk and other higher frequency problems.

They likely designed the board traces around the current default. Only Dell would be able to confirm this.

What I am doing is waiting for Raptor Lake and I will just rebuild in a new system when it launches. 
Keep the majority of the internals.  The SSD, the new RAM I got, the GPU etc.

Because the no XMP is literally the most moronic thing I could ever imagine on a Gaming PC.  I am so beyond upset I will never buy another Dell product.,  And I spent nearly $6,000 on this from the system peripherals and monitor (straight out of pocket) I feel 100% scammed by them and I will bad mouth them every chance I get to anyone that lwill listen.  From my coworkers to my guild mates to every forum I am a part of.

I mean, I do like the system.  Sure.  I'm just a little disappointed in all the short comings of calling this a system designed by listening to gamers.  The only improvement I see is case design for better airflow.  System is being held back dramatically.  When my 3600 DDR4 ram benches better than 4400 ddr5.  That's unsettling.

WOW Dell... Just WOW. So disappointed.
