Aurora R14, AWCC not working, cannot reinstall
After countless attempts, reinstalls using different methods and several hours of research I have given up on trying to repair the AWCC (Alienware Command Center). No lights, no power options, no fan control, no overclocking options, nothing. It won't even open!
I'm running Windows 11 on my Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14. It worked for about 3 months and then stopped. I've been trying to fix it every since. I had it since January 2022.
Please someone help (;′⌒`)

Get the latest version of command center for the Ryzen 14 at this link: R14 AWCC
Uninstall and reinstall as per this tutorial: Uninstall AWCC
If it still does not open after that, see if anything is logged in the event log.

@Vanadiel thanks for the quick response!
Unfortunately I follow the instructions to the letter and it did not work
How can I "see if anything is logged in the event log." ?? Is there a tutorial or a set of instructions I can get to do it? (Sorry I'm really a noob in all of this, coming from Mac to PC has been a journey).
Thanks!

Anything important is usually revealed in the Reliability Monitor History report.

Type event viewer in the search bar, and it will open up the event logs in a viewer. You can then drill down to see what error messages, if any, are logged.

You aren't alone. I have tried reinstalling, many times. If you install the 5.4.35.0 version from dell's site, it will work until it is auto-updated.
I have two identical R14s, and both have this issue. I've contacted support, and they tried to reinstall to no avail. They ultimately said I'd need to reformat. This will not fix the issue. The issue is caused by the latest (5.5.26.0 at time of writing, but 5.5.23.0 also fails to function) version of AWCC.

@godsyn thank you so much for your comment. It is so frustrating and yes, I was told I needed to "reformat" which I refused to do. Now, I'm glad I didn't since it would fix nothing. I tried every single suggestion, I have watched hours of tutorial to no avail. This is my first Alienware and by the looks of it, my last.
I hope DELL fix this issue soon, I have been waiting for a year for them to fix it. After spending over $6K on this machine I cannot believe their costumer service and support is so bad. To be honest I started to look into other high power PC builders to avoid Alienware due this latest experience with them. I'm in the market for one more built. For my laptop I went with an ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 but I need another desktop and DELL is not even on the possible options at this point.

It doesn't really help you now, but through long and bitter experience I've learnt to make Macrium Reflect system images every couple of weeks when AWCC is working. Being able to my entire system back exactly as it was is the only way I can be sure I can keep it in a working state.
Once it's corrupt, in my experience, you have to re-install Windows and reinstall AWCC to get it working again.

Such a pain... (┬┬﹏┬┬)
You are a champ @RTID75 I cannot see myself doing that every so often.
I hope 2023 is the year when they finally fix it.

I had problem with awcc installation and update. AWCC stuck in download update. FX and Thermal stuck in loading.
I did install awcc successfully after:
1. uninstall awcc, oc control, alienware update etc with revo uninstaller pro
2. remove all registry named alienware only
3. search "alienware" with forced uninstall for remained unremoved files

I used to have this problem on my R11. Awcc started after some time and displayed only a white empty rectangle. I stopped using it. The solution came to me by accident. I had to take the pc elsewhere and on the new location AWCC worked flawlessly. So I found out that removing the system from the main socket for some minutes solves most of the AWCC problems. I used to try to reinstall AWCC but nothing solved it without removing the plug from the wall socket. I even reinstalled windows and the problem remained. So after I found this solution every 3,4 months that the same thing happens I remove the plug for 5 minutes and AWCC runs perfectly!

No way @KostasNK it can't be that simple!
I'm going to try it and report back, but I must admit my skepticism quite high.
I let you know how it goes, and thank for sharing!

It appears the latest bios driver located at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=jcy14&oscode=w2021&productcode=alienware-aurora-r14-desktop has resolved the issue for me.
AWCC version : 5.5.23.0 (according to the MS store)
BIOS version : 2.7.0

I had just about the same thing happen to my R13, and after much experimenting was able to get it fixed without reinstalling windows. Seemed when it auto upgraded awcc from 5.4 to 5.5 there were some hidden artifacts that did not upgrade correctly. Uninstalling and even searching my registry was not able to remove everything. Found it was a stuck item from the 5.4.x versions.
To see if you have the same issue, go to the dell support page and manually install the older gaming peripheral driver, the file is "alienware-cc-component-application-krfw9_win_1.1.30.0_a00.exe". You can find it on a keyboard or mouse (aw610m) alienware support driver page.
If it installs fine, just uninstall it then try installing the new awcc.
If the install fails, which is what I had, I had to trick my pc to think it was still there so it could then remove the stuck elements. Easy to do! Open that exe file with 7zip, and uncompress the contents into "c:\program files\Alienware\Alienware CC Components for AWCC". Next just run the same exe installer again. Now it will find files there so it can perform its hidden wipe of all elements. Next uninstall it again first then manually wipe that directory, now the latest AWCC should be able to install and operate correctly.
Good luck!
