Aurora R5, 850w PSU upgrade question
I just purchased a 850w PSU to upgrade my Aurora R5 with a 460w. It came with all wires. While matching up all wire connectors to make sure it would work I noticed that 850w wire for the mother board MD63V with the eight pin connector has 6 actual wires in the 8 pin connector while my original 8 pin connector has only 4 actual wires in the 8 pin connector. Are the extra 2 wires ok or should I cut them? I don’t want to fry the MB. Example MB pictured below Example mother board

The 6 wire cable works just fine. I was a little cautious and was matching things up exactly. It works wonderfully. Thanks all.

It’s a Dell 48Y6D PSU. The connector on the MB is listed as the graphics-card power cable (GPU_POWER) in the service manual.

As a part two question, does cable GP6MV, the CPU power cable plug into jack R9 in the PSU?
