Aurora R6, PSU upgrade Corsair RM 850x

Help! I am newish to modifying pcs and I recently bought a corsair rm 850x and installed it into my r6, after pluggging everything in and attempting to start the computer I have no power at all, no lights, no display, no noise, and the power button does nothing. I have the 4 pin in cpu pwr and an 8 pin in gpu pwr and I’m pretty sure everything else is plugged in properly as well, it did sit for a bit with not plugged in, could it be my cmos battery? any help is greatly appreciated

do you still have the Dell stock psu to test and verify the pc can power on?

yes I was using the correct 8 pin but i figured the issue out, I’m just dumb and didn’t realize I left part of the 24 pin power connector unplugged to the psu and the mobo wasn’t getting any power! now if someone knows how to get a gpu out of safe mode let me know!
